IoT Consulting
The Internet of Things is a game changer for almost every crucial industry. It changes the methods of different business operations, communication and even the ways data is collected and exchanged. It is a bridge between the digital and physical worlds.
IoT brings a lot of new opportunities for companies and we are
helping our clients to monetize them.
Our team of IoT experts perform complex analyses and determine the best
way to incorporate IoT solutions into an existing or new business.

Consulting Services Include
-
Discovery Session
3-day workshops with your team and our IoT software developer, UX designer and other necessary experts that help to set your business goals, understand the real purpose of the project and estimate its duration and cost. The results of the discovery session are all written down in the form of a roadmap document.

IoT Platform Selection
The IoT market is growing, as well as the number of resources useful in IoT development. There are a lot of free open source and commercial IoT platforms that can significantly simplify and accelerate the development process. Based on in-depth analysis, we will choose the platform that is most suited to your project's needs.
Did you choose what you need?

Following a Discovery session with Naturaily, or a deep in-house
analysis of your own, when you want to be 100% sure that your product
is what the market is waiting for, it's time for fast prototyping.
At this stage, we follow the Design Sprint methodology, which gives us
the ability to bring your idea into life and validate it quickly.
You can see both the finished product and customers’ reactions to it, without significant expenses. Based on this, you can decide whether to develop the full-size project in this form or tailor it more to customers’ needs and expectations.
Design Sprint Methodology
First, we make a map of a problem and each one of us sketches solutions, then we choose the best ones. After this, we can build a prototype and finally show it to customers to see their reactions.

IoT Software Development
When we have created appropriate documentation, as well as know all requirements and devices that are going to be your IoT solution, we design the server-side architecture and API specification.
While developing an IoT solution, we stick to a microservices
architecture, which makes it easier to build and maintain an app.
The last step before the IoT software development process is
setting up the server environment. Then, we split the backlog
into sprints and start coding.

IoT Impact on Industries
Worldwide technology spending on the Internet of Things is going
to reach $1.2T in 2022, IDC predicts.
Manufacturing and transportation will each exceed $150B in spending
in 2022, making these the two largest industries for IoT spending.

IoT Case Study
LV Cloud is an IoT application monitoring and taking care of the local
energy grid. The app detects problems with electricity networks even before
they occur, helping to prevent major power outages. The LV Cloud
application is deployed on the Microsoft Azure Cloud, which provides
scalability and flexibility of the infrastructure.
Going into technological details, the LV Cloud solution is based on
microservices that are deployed to Microsoft Azure using Kubernetes
(an open-source container orchestration platform).

01
What is the function of IoT platforms?
Its basic function is to connect devices or applications to another end point. An IoT platform can handle a significant amount of data gathered from devices, apps, websites and customers, as well as different types of sensors, giving responses in real-time.
When choosing the best IoT platform, you should consider your company requirements for hardware, real-time access, reports, budget, development team and business model. -
02
What are the types of IoT platforms nowadays?
Top platforms nowadays are Google Cloud Platform, Particle, Sales IoT Cloud, ThingWorx, IBM Watson IoT, Amazon AWS IoT Core, Microsoft Azure IoT Suite, Samsung Artik Cloud, Oracle IoT and Cisco IoT Cloud.

03
Why is it worth starting from the discovery session?
The discovery session is a deep dive into the client's business. It helps to understand the real problem that needs to be solved and establish the best way to do that. Workshops guarantee that both our client and us share the same vision of the solution we will be working on. After three days of working together, we come up with a plan on how to solve the stated problem in the cheapest, fastest, and most effective way.
The discovery session’s outcome is documentation for project requirements, potential risks and ways to avoid them, as well as a basic roadmap and action plan with the project timeline and costs.
The main goal of the discovery session is to find the best way to solve our clients' problems and help him or her succeed. -
04
What is the Design Sprint methodology?
It was developed at Google and written down by Jake Knapp and John Zeratsky in the form of a book titled “Sprint book”. In short, the Design Sprint is a five-day process for solving problems and testing new ideas. During workshops, the team works on a prototype and then shows it to customers to see their reaction.

When is a Proof of Concept needed?
We recommend working on a PoC to each of our clients but, most of all, it’s recommended when the concept of the product has not been fully defined yet. It helps to identify use cases, notice potential bottlenecks and find the appropriate solution.
